Gamification makes motorists obey speed limit

The website The Fun Theory has held a competition (The Fun Thory Award) to promote design ideas that use gamification to “change people's behaviour to the better”. One of entries uses gamification to make Swedish motorists obey the speed limit.

It would not be legal in Norway because of the privacy implications, so in addition to demonstrating gamification, it also raises some interesting questions about the privacy implication of injecting gamification elemets into people's life, since gamification always imply recording and retention of identifying (i.e. personal) data.
