Reporters Without Borders has published a Handbook for Bloggers and Cyber-Dissidents (pdf, 81 p.), intended for citizen reporters in countries where the mainstream media is censored or under pressure.
This booklet tells you how to create a blog, publicise it, and gaining visibility through search engines. It also tells you how to establish credibility and introduces some basic ethical and journalistic principles.
Some rudimentary technical advice on how to to remain anonymous and how to get around certain types of censorship is also included. However, remaining truly anonymous is much more difficult than this booklet lead you to belive. If my life on freedom depended on anonymity, I would not use this booklet as my sole guide on the subject.
