I thoroughly enjoyed your article on defects in digital photography. I am a theoretical physicist and have low tolerance for fuzzy stuff, so I was delighted to read your clear and almost complete classification of these defects. I have just bought a Fuji FinePix F11 and some shots show unbearable amount of 'Moire`'. I want your advise what to do, if you don't find it intrusive, I'll email a sample to you.

Please note there is a new exciting search-engine, developed in Russia but sold by German entity. It supports MSFT, LINUX and soon AIX and Mac. Its for desktop and organisations. Customers are IBM, some secret services, Nato and Toyota-Europe to name a few.

I think your comments are dated.

Secondly, the place to stop a virus is at the entrance to your computer. Even with our hi-speed processors, I'd hate to have a virus scanner for each file on my computer (gigbytes).
